Jefferson County Public Schools Adult and Continuing Education
has been recognized as one of eight Adult Education
programs in the nation who will serve as a Model
Program for the Communicating Success to
Stakeholders phase of the Dollar General/ProLiteracy
Performance Accountability Initiative. As a
model program, Adult Basic Education’s
communications tools and other strategies will be
showcased as the nation’s most effective examples of
adult education programs. The recognition follows a
site visit by ProLiteracy Worldwide, which is the
largest organization of adult basic education and
literacy programs in the United States. |

JCPS Adult Education is a grant-funded
organization that offers free classes to adults who have basic educational
needs. Our positions are temporary part-time as needed. We offer
classes at locations throughout Louisville. Classes are available
mornings, afternoons, and evenings. We offer Reading and Math classes
and English as Second Language (ESL) classes.
