Jefferson County Public Schools Adult and Continuing Education offers comprehensive basic skills training FREE of charge in many locations throughout Jefferson County.  The choice of day or evening classes makes it easier for busy adults to attend classes and progress at their own pace.

Jefferson County Public Schools Adult and Continuing Education has been recognized as one of eight Adult Education programs in the nation that serve as a Model Program for the Communicating Success to Stakeholders phase of the Dollar General/ProLiteracy Performance Accountability Initiative.  As a model program, Adult Basic Education’s communications tools and other strategies have been showcased as the nation’s most effective examples of adult education programs. The recognition followed a site visit by ProLiteracy Worldwide, which is the largest organization of adult basic education and literacy programs in the United States.
JCPS Adult Education is a grant-funded organization that offers free classes to adults who have basic educational needs.  Our positions are temporary part-time as needed.  We offer classes at locations throughout Louisville.  Classes are available mornings, afternoons, and evenings.  We offer Reading and Math classes and English as Second Language (ESL) classes.
